The site Deadline published a new article about The Power, announcing its premiere in 2021:
EXCLUSIVE: AMC’s genre streaming service Shudder has picked up all rights to Brit supernatural chiller The Power for North America, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
The Power marks the feature directorial debut of writer-director Corinna Faith (The Innocents) and stars rising actress Rose Williams, whose credits include The CW’s Reign, Sky original Curfew, Netflix’s Medici and upcoming feature Mrs Harris Goes To Paris.
The 2018 Brit List script, in the spirit of The Woman in Black and The Others, is set in 1970s London during a period of blackouts. As striking miners switch off the power across Britain, a young nurse on her first day of duty is forced to work the night shift in a crumbling hospital where a dark presence is lurking in the walls.
Producers are Matthew James Wilkinson (Yesterday) and Rob Watson (Italian Studies). Brit electro artist Elizabeth Bernholz, better known by her stage name Gazelle Twin, has composed an original score for the film with composer Max de Wardener.
The film will premiere on the service in 2021. The deal was done by Mike Runagall of Altitude Film Sales on behalf of the filmmakers and Emily Gotto for Shudder.
“With The Power, Corinna Faith has established herself as a remarkable new voice in genre cinema. We know Shudder members will be terrified by her debut feature and thrilled by Rose Williams’ star-making performance,” said Emily Gotto, Shudder’s Director of Global Acquisitions & Co-Productions.
The producers added: “We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with Shudder on The Power. The team at Shudder’s passion for genre is unparalleled, and we can’t wait to share the film with their equally devoted audience”.
The film received development funding from the BFI and Creative England, and production finance from the BFI and Head Gear.

Hi everyone! Today Rose Williams has announced via her instagram account that she’ll be playing a role on the upcoming movie Mrs Harris Goes To Paris. In fact, she posted a picture of her in a trailer from a movie set with the caption “‘Pamela’ passing through…“. So her character will be named Pamela but we don’t know yet if it’s a minor role or just a cameo. The most important informations we have now are the casting (with Lucas Bravo, Jason Isaacs, Lesley Manville, Alba Baptista, Anna Chancellor and Isabelle Huppert as main characters) and a synopsis: A new adaptation of Paul Gallico’s much-loved novel about a cleaning lady in 1950s London who falls in love with an haute couture dress by Christian Dior and decides to gamble everything for the sake of this folly.
You can find more infos on IMDb. For now, let’s just wait to see if we have other news and let’s enjoy Rose’s first BTS pic!

Hi everyone! This is the official re-opening of Rose Williams News, in english this time. I felt like you guys would best understand if I post in english rather than in french like I used to. After a few (a lot) weeks without posting anything here, I’m back and let me tell you this is official and for real, I won’t disappear for months again.
Of course, to make a better come back, I changed the theme and the domain. The URL is no longer http://rosewilliams.fr but http://rosewilliams.us (although rosewilliams.fr still works for now it won’t always be the case). This new theme is by Sin21 and I made the header myself (Raven Headers) with the pictures of Rose for Wonderland Magazine.
I hope you enjoy your stay and I’ll see you soon on Rose Williams News!
PS: please, note that english is not my first language so it’s possible there are some mistakes here and there but I will try my best not to make any. Thanks.
